Player Moderator Code of Conduct

The Player Moderator role is a privileged voluntary position of great importance to Teampkz staff in the effort to remove rule breaking characters from our game. These rules exist to ensure that all of our players have a fun and safe environment in which to play and Player moderators have a big part to play in the rules are not broken.

The admins entrust Player moderators to use their sound judgement, with the guidance of the to take the appropriate action against players breaking our rules. To best manage the role it is vital that our Player moderators read agree to and follow our codes of conduct. This will go a long way to ensuring that your moderating is done effectively.

Warning: If you are found breaking this code of conduct or our rules we will very quickly remove your player moderator privileges and possibly take action against your game account.

Confidentiality

All information shared between Teampkz Staff and the player moderators is confidential unless otherwise stated.

No information in the Staff Forums or information in messages between Admins and the player moderators should be passed to any other person or company.



Account security

As a player moderator you must be security conscious.

You must never:

Share your account with anyone else
Allow someone else to 'try' the moderator controls
Use any modified client to play Teampkz
Using player moderator powers

As player moderators, you have the ability to ban players that are breaking the rules. Banning a player must only be done in accordance with the Player moderator guidelines. Kicking a player should be used lightly, and not abused.

Always refer to the player moderator guidelines for the correct way to use the moderator powers that have been entrusted to you.

By accepting the offer to become a player moderator you are agreeing to only use the moderator controls you have in the proper manner.

In game behaviour

Player moderators are in a privileged role, you are ambassadors of the game.

When in game always abide by the rules yourself, you should always lead by example. You should go about playing Teampkz in the most helpful way possible.

Interacting with other players

Treat other players as you would expect to be treated, respect is the key to successfully being a Player moderator.

Always keep your chat with other players polite and respectful. Remember people will follow your example.

Obviously you will still go about playing the game in the normal way, however when trading, dueling or doing other in game actions you should always do so in an honest and respectful way. Doing so and setting the standards will encourage everyone to play in this way and the result will be an even better place to play.

How to respond to questions from other players

Other players will inevitably ask you questions about being a player moderator. This can sometimes be challenging, especially when you are in the middle of a quest or fighting a monster, but remember that people will be interested. You do not need to respond to every question but be courteous where you can.

Never respond to players questions with rude or impatient answers. It is much better simply to put chat blocks on if you are being disturbed than to answer someone rudely.

Never threaten anyone asking you questions with action against them. Where you see rule breaking, take action but only where it is right to do so.

How to respond to rule breaking reports from other players

As a Player moderator, you should mute and sometimes ban players when you see them breaking the rules. This does not mean that you are completely bound. We do allow you to play the game.

If you recieve a report from a player, we incline you to respond and post a report in the player moderator forums.

Using the forums

All conversations relating to the Player moderator role should be done in the Staff Forum. This is a special forum, visible only to Player moderators and Teampkz Staff.

Do not discuss player moderator business in the other forums. The information in the player moderator specific forums is confidential and should not be shared.

The Staff forum is specifically for Staff business. If you want to discuss general issues please use the other forum threads available.

Wider community

As stated above, any information related to being a player moderator is confidential. Player moderator business must not be discussed on the forums of other websites.

Players will discuss player moderators on other websites, it is essential that you do not offer answers to these forums. Remember, information about player moderators is confidential.

RULES OF TEAMPKZ

INGAME

1.No use of vulgar language.

2.No X-logging.

3.Do not make new account's to get starter item's.

4.Do not lure, anything involving the wild you must state it is in wild also Do not lure monsters away from there

spawning points

5.No abusing glitch's or bug's.

6.No advertising other server's.

7.No spamming chat or yell

8.No racist remarks or name's

9.Respect should be shown to the server and its staff at all times!

10.No autoing/macroing of any kind(auto typing/click etc.)

11.Do not impersonate TEAMPKZ staff!

12.Do not make your character name inappropriate.

13.Discrimination of any kind, whether based on another player's race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation or religious beliefs is highly forbidden

14.There will be NO safespotting of any kind, it will most likely end up a ban.

15.NO boosting of any kind will be tolerated and will result in a week ban as a first offence of this type.
 
16.Not using common sense is against the rule's

SPEAKING ABOUT ANOTHER PERSONS MOTHER, INGAME OR ON FORUMS IS HIGHLY AGAINST THE RULES AND WILL LEAD TO A REALLY LONG MUTE OR PERM MUTE DEPENDING ON THE CURRENT NUMBER OF BLACKMARKS YOU CURRENTLY HAVE, THANKYOU.

FORUM

1. Read up before asking

Use our "Search" function for your convenience.

There are a lot of posts already that might have already answered your question, please look for these! It is really smart

on your part to take advantage of this, so that you can get answers to your question(s) (that have possibly been

answered already) quicker. If you ask obvious questions over and over again that have been answered, you will be

braking this rule and will be given a warn increase - it's spamming.

2. Be nice to each other and respect the staff

Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member, turn to the respective moderator

and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to another staff member. You're allowed to not like someone

here, but if it gets out of hand to the point of nonstop flaming back and fourth, you will be warned once, and then

banned if an 'outbreak' occurs again for braking rule 2 and rule 3.

The same goes for your actions/behavior towards the staff. They work very hard for you keeping this server/site up and

running smoothly, so please be courteous to them and respectful of their decisions and actions.

3. Do not spam / No blatant advertising

Any pointless material that is posted on the forums will not be tolerated; this includes posting just to increase post count,

if you choose to do so, it will result in the topic(s) being closed, and you losing your posting rights for X amount of

time; ban durations will vary based off of the seriousness of the offense. Any material that doesn't contribute to the topic

will be considered spam. Flaming others, going off-topic, and double posting is all considered spam. Light spam is allowed

in the Off-Topic section.

3?. Grave Digging
Grave digging is when someone reply's to a topic that has been posted many months ago and no one has responded to it in months and it is considered "dead" because of people's inactivity to replying to it.

Advertising is not allowed either. Advertising any other sites/servers is a serious offense, and will result in your account

being suspended (most likely permanently). Please remember that if this advertisement does not coincide with rule 5, you'll

be permanently banned for braking rule 3 and rule 5.

4. Keep the size of personal images down

We do not need to see extremely large ratios for your images, please scale them down as much as you can. When you

have extremely large signatures or images being posted in topics it gets quite annoying; please be sure to crop your

images (such as bank/stat pictures) so they're easier to see and so the post is neater.

5. No links, images, or video that is offensive

You may not link, in any manner, to sites or images containing pornography, sexually explicit, gross violence, or are

determined by moderators to be detrimental to the community. The occasional "explicit" image might be allowed here and

there - you'll get off with a warning, but if a pattern emerges your account will be suspended indefinitely.

6. Instructions by the moderator team are to be followed

If a staff member asks you to do something, please do it. If you choose to disobey them, or offend them in some way,

you could quite possibly get permanently banned depending on how serve the offense(s) are.

If you think you've been banned unfairly, or feel that what the staff member is asking of you is unacceptable, please

submit a ban appeal/report.

7. Plagiarism

Plagiarism is a serious offense; by taking someone's work, you're lying, stealing, and could be potentially braking the law.

If we find out that anything you post was (images, poems, etc.) made by someone else, you'll be receiving a permanent

ban from the forums.

8. Do not take credit for work you do not do

We do not need people stealing other peoples work. If you are caught ripping signatures from people you will get your

warning level increased and a temporary ban from forums. This hasn't been a problem but with the community growing

lately i figured it would be necessary in the near future for this rule to be put in place.

9. Do not falsely report posts to Moderators.

such as, reporting a post/topic with "nice" or "how much", is unneeded, the report to Moderator button should only be

used when a post/topic vialates one of our forums rules, we have a reply button for posts, please use it.
